POINTS OF INTEREST

This circuit begins at Le Domaine, our rental and service centre.
It is dotted with sandy beaches. This circuit is very safe as many other canoeists travel along it regularly.

Camping Lac au Barrage:

From Highway 117, take road 28; travel approximately 5.7 km, until you reach the Camping Portage sign. Turn right, continue 500 metres, then turn left. This road is not maintained.

40.5 km from Le Domaine.

POINTS OF INTEREST

There are three beautiful, large lakes: Lac Grand, Lac Canimina and Lac Nichotea. Several hospitable campsites; good water quality; beautiful scenery.

Camping Lac au Barrage:

From Highway 117, take Highway 28; travel approximately
5.7 km, until you reach the Camping Portage sign. Continue straight on until you reach the fork indicating: “Camping Lac au Barrage”, turn right, continue 500 metres, then turn left;

40.5 km from Le Domaine.

POINTS OF INTEREST

Circuit is made up of many lakes connected by creeks, which give it a special character. Beautiful campsite with rocky shores near the outlet of “Lac Nizard”. A large portion of the circuit is not accessible by motor boats. Few portages. The meanders are narrow and quaint.

REMARKS

The difficult portage between “Lac au Barrage” and “Lac Portage” (steeps banks) can be avoided by putting in at “Lac Portage” and putting out at “Lac au Barrage”.

Pont Beley:

From Highway 117, take road 44 for approximately 35 km, cross the first bridge over Rivière des Outaouais; follow the portage on the left side of the road close to the second bridge and launch your canoe at the end of the portage;

164 km from Le Domaine.

POINTS OF INTEREST

A very interesting circuit that takes you on the Rivière des Outaouais, Lac Lambert and Lac Gaotanaga. Exceptional scenery on Lac Lambert. Chute Big.

REMARKS

Accessible to beginners. It is recommanded to begin the loop in direction of Lake Lambert because the course is easier to go up that way.
